Bus service has stopped in Odisha due to Private Bus Strike
The Odisha Private Bus Owners Association said that the Private Bus Strike will continue until the state government does not give a written commitment to include private buses in the ‘Lakshmi’ scheme and to run buses only in urban areas. As school and college vacations are coming from today, everyone is now heading home. Due to sudden stoppage of bus service at this time, a dangerous situation has arisen from today. Buses are overcrowded lastnight, while tickets are now unavailable on trains.
Due to the suspension of private bus services across the state from today (Friday) for an indefinite period, bus commuters across the state are being seen to be suffering. Today, no private bus is running from ‘Netaji Bus Terminal’, Odisha’s largest bus stand due to Private Bus Strike.
Cuttack-Bhubaneswar only govt bus and mo bus are running. Due to the bus strike, many people are seen commuting in their own facilities. It is reported that the Private Bus Owners’ Association in Baleswar has continued to run buses against the shutdown decision.

The influence of the port has also been seen in Kendrapara. Buses are stopped from Kendrapara bus stand. Due to the suspension of hundreds of buses from the district, passengers are facing various problems. All buses from Ali, Pattamundi, Rajnagar, Marshaghai, Mahakalapada and Patkura are closed.
