GST 2.0 is being implemented from the first sunrise of Navratri.

Navratri is starting today. The revised Goods and Services Tax (GST) was implemented in the country from the first sunrise of Navratri. Such economic reforms have been made in GST in the interest of the country. The countrymen will celebrate it as a festival of savings in the spirit of citizen devotion. Many goods and services will be made simple and cheap in GST. This time, income tax has been exempted for taxpayers earning up to Rs 12 lakh annually in the income tax slab. If both the financial benefits are added, the countrymen can save Rs 2.5 lakh crore annually. This will directly benefit the country economically.

GST 2.0 is being implemented in the country from today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised GST 2.0 and said that it is a big step to make the country financially self-reliant. The country is going to celebrate the GST reform festival from today. On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi addressed the countrymen and said, now we will get freedom from buying foreign goods. Times have changed along with needs. Every house will have to be equipped with indigenous products. This will benefit the poor and middle class people. Reforms for the next generation are also needed. One nation, one tax system has been adopted.

Today, GST reform has been made possible by bringing all the states together. There will be only 5% tax on various essential items like food items, medicines, soaps. This means that daily used items will be cheaper. The Prime Minister said that 25 crore people have been freed from poverty in the last 11 years. This will further accelerate India’s development. The poor had to pay more tax earlier. Therefore, Modi said that this reform system has been adopted keeping in mind the future.

In a bid to pass on the benefits of GST reduction directly to the consumers, the Railway Ministry has announced a reduction in the maximum retail price of packaged drinking water available on trains and railway premises. The price of one litre of packaged drinking water bottles, Rail Neer and all other brands has been reduced to Rs 14 from Rs 15 earlier. Similarly, the price of a 500 ml bottle has been reduced to Rs 9 from Rs 10 earlier. The revised price of water bottles will be applicable from today.
