Appointment letters to new Recruits under the PM Rozgar Mela
A Rozgar Mela is an event where a number of employers and job seekers come together for the purpose of applying and interviewing for jobs. Defined more precisely, a Rozgar Mela is an employment strategy to fast-track the meeting of job seekers and employers.
The Rozgar Mela represents a significant stride in fulfilling the PM Modi’s commitment to prioritising employment generation. On October 22, 2022, PM launched the Phase 1 of the ‘Rozgar Mela’, marking the start of the campaign to provide 10 lakh government jobs.
The Pradhan Mantri Rozgar Yojana or PMRY is a Central Government initiative that aims to provide self-employment opportunities to educated youths who are unemployed.
The Rozgar Mela aims to prioritize employment generation and provide meaningful job opportunities for the youth, empowering them to actively participate in national development.
The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi addressed the National Rozgar Mela via video conferencing today and distributed more than 51,000 appointment letters to newly inducted recruits in various Government departments and organizations.
On the occasion, PM Modi congratulated the new appointees for their selection as ‘Amrit Rakshak’ during the Amrit Kaal. Modi called them ‘Amrit Rakshak’ as the new appointees will not only serve the country but also protect the country and the countrymen.
The Ministry of Home Affairs is recruiting personnel in various central armed police forces (CAPFs) such as the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Border Security Force (BSF), Shashtra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Narcotics control Bureau (NCB) as well as Delhi Police under the Rozgar Mela.
Modi said there have been several major changes in the recruitment process of paramilitary forces in the last few years. “The process of recruitment got speeded up from application to final selection, examinations are being conducted in 13 local languages in places of English or Hindi as was the case earlier. Recruitment of hundreds of tribal youth in Naxal-affected areas of Chhattisgarh was done by relaxing norms,” said Modi.
